Parrots for the pirates.
So it's been a busy last few months and I kind of got real busy taking an active role in this so called life of ours around here. School is almost out for the summer and I'm pretty sure the adventures are about to begin. The boys have plans.....
Dougie's been having a great year, I went to a parent teacher conference to be told that Dougie is right where he needs to be, and that his strong subject just happens to be math. Definitely did not get that from me. He came home a while back talking about the field trip they were getting ready to take. He started out telling me and Grandma that he needed two bottles of water and the number only increased after that. So on the day of the field trip he decided jut to forget about the water bottles and go for the camel back. (which he pulled a dad said I could and then a mom said I could on Doug and I) His teacher told me it was the funniest thing. The moment that they took of walking Dougie had the hose thing in his mouth the whole time. When Dougie's passionate about something he finds a way to getting what he wants.
Daxton has had his tonsils taken out last month. He went through it better than I expected. I brought him home after the surgery and he then decided to really cause problems. I ended up wrestling with him to stay inside. I had to go pull him off his bike more than once and explain to him that he'd just gotten out of surgery and that he was supposed to rest. He tried pulling a fast one on his grandma and me the other day by going with us into the store. We were looking at flowers for headstones and of course Connor was causing a small amount of mischief so I ended up taking him and Daxton out to the car. When my mom came out she asked me why I needed fake parrots. I couldn't quit figure out what she was talking about. Well it comes down to that Daxton snuck them into the cart, when asked why he said "They're for Dougie and my pirate costumes.) While my mother went into take them back I had the ever so pleasant conversation with him on why we don't throw things into the cart without us knowing. His side was that some man came up and stuck them in and then he pushed him down.. Just another one of his stories.
Most days I look at Connor and wonder where exactly he came from. Doug and I have come to the conclusion that we should have named him "Anarchy," and that Connor absolutely does not like authority. He's definitely one of a kind. While we we're visiting with relatives over Mother's day weekend, He came into my grandma's house real excited about something. What I need to point out here is that he's really into matching things, so he get's excited when he finds things that happen to be the same. moving on with this story, he came in started pulling on my hand to follow him saying. "Mom there's a guy out there like the other, come on they are the same." At that moment I figured it out that he was taking me outside to go look at my twin cousins. So this last weekend Connor learned about twins.
Yes it seems we've gotten a little busy here. Hopefully the summer can be just as exciting for the boys. Well if summer ever comes. As one of my cousins put it, "I think that mother nature is bipolar." Hopefully this will be a fun filled summer for the boys.
