Connor turns three..

Connor is now three and I have no baby.. Well at least that's what supposed to happen. Connor still thinks and says he's the baby. I can't believe how big he has gotten. Of course he was spoiled with presents, balloons, made me make him a Mater cake, and of course luckily finally agreed to put on clothes when Grandma showed up. He has learned the word "forever," and now we are all being threatened with one thing or the other but, with him saying "forever," I guess we're supposed to be scared or know he means business.

After over a year the boys are finally settling into living here. Dougie's got friends to play with, which means they are here all the time. But, he's happy and that is what counts. He does get mad every time we send the kids home for the night. You win some and lose some too. He's also gotten into playing older brother quit well, by telling his brother the other night about how people grow and grow then shrink and die. Which then resulted in Daxton looking at me and sobbing "Dad's going to die." Then we spent the rest of the night comforting Dax, on how it was going to be okay and a phone call to his grandma helped. While the whole time Dougie sat there laughing. Yes Dougie is truly playing older sibling quit well.

Daxton has received a nickname around here. Houdini, because he's always taking off. Which has resulted in Doug now saying he pulled a "Boodini". Because of all of this my neighbor came over and helped install locks on the top of the doors, so that I can coral Daxton in. There is always going to be surprises when Daxton is around. I know that I should have not been surprised the other day when we showed up at their grandma's only to have him strip down within the five minutes and pull out his old pirate costume, that I had no clue he's packed, or even when he could have.

All three of the boys are excited for Halloween, they are going to be Transformer's and I will have to take pictures. They are all growing and I do have to admit, their growing fast. Well today I will admit it, but ask me on another day and I might have a different answer.

A good week..

If someone was to offer me a whole week of sleeping, I would embrace that dream.. Crazy I never thought growing up that I would be so tired all of the time and any quiet moment with me sitting relaxing I'm dozing. What happened to all the energy? Let me tell you that's what was taken from me and given to the three little boys I call my children, with some kind of extra power to it.

So besides the fact that I'm might be going a little crazy, it's been a interesting weekend and week. The weekend the boys had their aunt here helping me out with them. One moment they where all happy and following her around, making her read to them, standing outside the bathroom talking to her while she getting ready for bed, which they where supposed to be in already but, won't go there because their aunt is here and they are excited. Then when they find out that she's going to tell them "No" on a few things they can't handle that and try telling her to just go home. There's the thing the boys really, really hate the word "No". It doesn't matter who says it they don't like it no matter what.

It was nice having Cassie around to help out but, as soon as her tail lights where out of sight the kids all turned the smiles on that had me very wary of what their next move was going to be. Didn't take long An hour later I caught Daxton sitting on one of those big Rubbermaid lids, using it as a sled going down the stairs, while his two brother's and their wannabe sister watching with enthusiasm. To be honest I don't think they cared one way or the other if their brother got hurt or if he made it either way they where going to get a good show. Until mom stepped in. Then they spent the day plotting and sneaking around. I should have been scared but, I've just reached a point in "Shit happens," that or the boys have broken me.

I also learned this last weekend that power tools can be fun but, should not be left in my hands. All I'm going to say is that in an attempt to keep Daxton in the house I might have screwed the door shut. I admit this isn't my best moment in life, not being able to put a simple lock on a door, but I figure it could be worse.

However this week the boys are still on the go with life. Dougie had a horrible cough but has now gotten over it and when I made him stay home from school yesterday, he threw a fit. That one I did not see coming. Daxton, got sick, at five in the morning when he laid down on the floor like holding still, I knew something was up, Yes most kids are asleep at five and it's normal for them to be laying around, but not here. Once Daxton get's going he doesn't stop until he's forced to go to bed. So I had the scare there for a moment that maybe he had the flu, but six hours later after he awoke from his nap, he was back to transforming. He's also been chasing his destiny down the street today. Well that's what he yelled at me while I was chasing him. Connor, is determined to remain being the baby. I hear it everyday when he's arguing with Daxton about how he's not a big boy and that he's the baby. I tried explaining it to him since he's going to be turning three here soon, but no he's a baby. He also has it in for Daxton, although I think he uses it to get sympathy and a transformer band aid from me. He loves to pick fights with his brother's and then come tell me he needs a band aid because it hurts. I do admit that sometimes he is bleeding. That's how far he takes it.

But that's just another week for us, and to be honest I call them a good week..
