yeah on to the next holiday!!!

Well it's been a few days since I last wrote, but you can believe me when I say that we are all still here. We had a nice Thanksgiving at the Grandparents and had a few days to enjoy a little time off from our everyday life at home. I have to say that it is nice to have grandparents and an aunt who are around so that I can enjoy taking a shower without three boys banging on the door. But now we are back home and things seem to going about the norm around here. You know the fighting the yelling the crashing noises. Yes I can actually say we are home again.
Dougie learned how to play the game checkers while we were at grandmas. He had grandpa and him playing that game at every moment that he could. He is even still talking about it, (I have a feeling he will be for a few weeks.) Heads up to grandpa, he's planning another attack already for the next time. Before we left for thanksgiving Dougie found out that his little friend he had at school was moving away. He's been quit sad about that. I mean he just barely started liking school and now his best little buddy isn't there anymore. At least he still has a few other friends, just as long as they don't make him mad. We all know what happens when Dougie gets mad.
Daxton has still been living in his own world. I hope that someday I will be able to understand what might possibly be going through his head. I have never known a person who could always be something different at any moment. I have also come to the conclusion that when and if he ever gets the potty training done ( a lot of it comes down to him just being lazy about it.) I am going to celebrate. I mean there might be jumping up and down in the street for it. He's gotten so bad about not being able to do anything that when I told him that the three of them they couldn't have any cookies until they picked up the toys, I heard him tell Dougie that he needed to pick up the toys so that he could get a cookie. I am trying to have faith that he will eventually realize that even though he can't see me when he says stuff like that, that I can hear him still.
Connor yes he is spoiled, and I am mostly to blame for it. Out of the three of them he does throwing a tantrum quit good. I even admit from time to time I give in but, I am trying to rectify that. His favorite sentence of all time is "I hate you." Yeah try not laughing at him when your driving down the road, and one of those jewelry commercials comes on. You hear it say " I love you, I love you" and then hear Connor immediately say "I hate you." It is kind of funny. I'm just seeing it now taking him places and him telling complete strangers that he hates them. Yesterday when we got back he kept going around saying "No, no, no," after awhile Dougie came up and said "Mom, Connor is just like Grandpa." I had to laugh at that one too.
So there you go life is still full steam ahead for us and I have just decided to go along for the ride. I mean really sometimes that is all you can do right. At least I have to look at it this way nothing has been broken or ruined for a few days so it might be a good week after all.

super mario world evil

Super Mario Brothers has damned us. Yes you heard right. I have spent the week living in this not real world; Thanks to Doug's wonderful idea that he should get the old Nintendo out and let the boys play Mario. Dougie and Daxton have spent time trying to get from one level to the next. They usually make Doug or I go down stairs and play it. It has gotten so bad that they tell us they love us only if we are winning, but as soon as we lose well that's another thing they inform us that they hate us. If we refuse to play well they hate us, and tell us that we don't love them. It's a no win situation around here anymore.
When Dougie plays, he reminds me a lot like a brother I have. (Rand you know where I'm going with this.) Yes he gets mad and blames Daxton for him getting killed. Even if Daxton isn't there. He also throws the controllers. When I watched him do this I thought to myself, Good hell it's Rand all over again. This is going to suck... I think that he has gotten so into it that the other night he informed me that he can shoot fire out his butt. I just looked at him and said "I don't even want to see that or know about it."
Daxton has also gotten into it too. He is so into it that he actually plays like he's Luigi. Yesterday he came running in the room and physically jumped on top of Dougie and told him "I squashed you Dougie." Then he took off chasing after his Yoshi. And was right back squashing Dougie and Connor. Luckily they were laughing at him, so Doug pointed the other way and told Daxton that Yoshi had gotten away and he needed to go chase him. It was quit entertaining to watch.
Connor even tries to play. It's kind of cute he sits there and has the controller upside down and talks to the t.v. as he pushes the buttons.
Yeah I'm thinking about throwing it out the door...
Well besides the Nintendo they are still picking fights with each other. It's quit funny at times to see what they fight over. I never really thought about it but, kids fight over the stupidest things. Daxton lately has been the instigator. He takes Dougie and Connor on at the same time. I don't know if it's just more of a challenge to him or if he just has a thing against them both. I have also caught Dougie taking cheap shots when he thinks that I'm not watching. I informed him that mom's have a third eye and that they see everything. For some reason I don't think he believed me. Might have been why he rolled his eyes and walked off. Connor is another story he just tries to take everyone on. Doesn't matter if it's his brothers or dad and mom. Let's just say Connor knows where we keep the potatoes and he has a good aim.
Hopefully they will calm down a little. Well since Grandma is coming to watch them Friday, so I can go watch the Twilight movie with Cassie..

Hurts doesn't it?

Well I had yet another person knock on my door and hand me a flier about their religion. Let me just say they didn't dare stay long.. I think it was the look I gave them, The one that says, "I have been dealing with my children's crap all day does it look like I want to discuss religion right now?" They just handed me the flier and ran, Okay, I know mom be nice. I actually have been trying to be a nicer person, some days it's seems to be harder than others. However I have been doing extremely well the last few days. I actually smiled when I went to pick Dougie up from school yesterday.
We had visitor's last night. Heather and Brandon were in town, so they came over to see us. They had Austin and Gavin with them. Wow funny thing Connor is older than Austin by two days, and Austin is Daxtons size. And Gavin and Connor are around the same size. I started to laugh when Brandon and Doug stood by each other and Brandon pointed out "look at the sperm donors". Yeah that was funny.
I have had another day with the boys. They have continually played who can hit the hardest. Let's just say that I had to put a stop to that game even though they where laughing about it. Then later I came around the corner and heard them at it again, this time I heard Dougie say "Hurts doesn't it." Let's just say there have been a lot of time outs today. I can't even tell who starts the fights anymore. I know at one point I was talking to Daxton about how he needs to be nice, when he pulled his blanket over his head and informed me that he was a rock and couldn't hear me. He sat like that for ten minutes. At that point all I could do was shake my head and walk off. I really don't know what we're going to do about him and his "fishy blanket". I believe that he will probably grow up and carry it with him everywhere.
Yesterday Dougie came running in and told me that I needed to come in my bedroom because they where having a talent show. I had to think first off: Dougie doesn't even know what a talent show is. Second: their in my bedroom. and third: what would be the talent? Well I soon discovered that it was them jumping on the bed and slamming each other into the wall. I can actually say that they are like a pack of wild animals, because they go running through the house howling. They tell me that they are coyotes.
Besides the fact that they like hurt each other, they are actually doing pretty dang good. Dougie is liking school this week. Daxton believes that he can save everyone, and Connor well he likes to throw the toys down the stairs and watch them fall. I am thinking that as long as no one gets a concussion, we might make it through the rest of the day.

Doug has seen the future

"I am the master of evil." Dougie informed me that the other day. Boys.. I know nothing about what goes through a their heads anymore. Just when I think that I might be one step ahead of what their thinking, nope not going to happen.
This week has been one comic moment after another with these three. Dougie has told me that Connor is the wrong baby "He steals stuff, and he's mean." Well I new he was getting meaner I just didn't know that he steals things. Nice to now. I might have to invest in a lie detector machine for the future. It will come in handy what with the three of them standing around pointing fingers at each other and saying "he did it."
Dougie this week decided that he needed to step in and help us with the potty training. He would pronounce that Connor was a big boy now, and he needs big boy pants like him. He has also decided that Daxton might never get it.. I have been in a little bit of a shock today, and that is because he has kept his clothes on today. Yeah, I all but gave up. I have been worried that he's going to grow up and join some nudist colony. There might be hope after all. Of course it might be that he listened when I told him that he was cuter when he wears clothes.. I watched him the other night sit up in his sleep and say "watch it dad." So I laughed and thought I better warn Doug..
Daxton, Daxton, Daxton. That is all I should say but, I will tell more. This week Daxton has given me a new name and title. Princess. Yes you heard it, I am a princesses who would have guessed. I have spent the week being defended by Daxton. He has fought many battles against the "mean Dougie", and "bad Connor". I have also had the pleasure to listen to him change his voice into an English accent. I really have no clue as to where he got it from. I just heard "What ca got going there?" He then started to sing the song teamwork from the cartoon "Little Einsteins". Like I say it's just Daxton.
Connor has been on his own rampage this week and I don't know if I am going to live through it. I spent one afternoon battling him over the microwave. I kept trying to cook the boys lunch only to turn to get something else and he would push the buttons, open the door. One time he actually took the stuff out and tried to finish the cooking process with my can opener. Luckily I got to it before he pushed start. After the first round I thought he will just go get into something else. You all know where this story is going. Yes he got his stool and decided that he would cook my towel. Luck was on my side again because I came around the corner just in time. I have had the great privilege of dragging him across the playground twice this week kicking and screaming while everyone around laughed. I remember at one point I finally just said to the three boys, "What if I just put you all on a leash." Apparently one of the mother's heard me and laughed and said "I know what you mean."
Doug today saw the future, and then made sure I saw it too. It happened at Wal-mart. We were wrapping up shopping and looking for a lane to check out in, it was really crazy in there today. We found on finally stood there and realized that the women in front of us had two very and I mean very overflowing carts filled with food and that we were going to be there awhile. Doug turned to me and said "that's going to be us in a few years." After a while the boys where really getting out of control so I told Doug that I would haul the boys out to the car if he wanted to finish up. So I hauled the boys out to the car and we waited after awhile I called Doug on his cell phone and he informed me that he was headed out the door. When everything was loaded up and we were headed home he told me that when the lady in front of us got done checking out she turned to Doug and said "I've got three teenage boys." We came to the conclusion that what we hope was at least a two week supply of food for those boys. All I have to say to that is if I am going to buy them a two week supply, at least they can drag their butts into the store and push the damned carts. I really felt bad for that lady. She wasn't alone, but the little girl with her couldn't push one of those baskets.. So now I have a little insight in what to expect in the future............

I'm thinking about checking into the padded room

Well they can't say that every man forgets his anniversary, in our case it was both of us. Neither one of us tonight could remember exactly what day we got married on. I was thinking sometime in early November, Doug was saying the twenty seventh. Guess what we were both far off. Funny thing is I was talking on the phone with Cassie and asked her if she remembered. Well she didn't but dad did and after I went and checked he was right. Thank you dad...... Any how Doug and I laughed at ourselves for how serious we take our anniversary.. Admit it, it is a little funny.
So I received a great invitation from the boys today. They where running around knocking things around and stacking more things on top of all that, you know doing what they do best. When Dougie comes up and informs me that if I go into their house they will kill me. A few minutes later Daxton comes up and says "Go into our house so we can kill you." Well if their going to put it that way hmmmmmmmmm No.. Call me crazy, but I don't think that is a game I am going to play...
I am starting to think that I live with a young Indiana Jones. I was washing dishes when I hear this familiar sound, again it is Connor crying and I find him hanging on for dear life on his little quad which was also hanging on the stairs ready to fall. I ran to get to him before he fell. Well I shouldn't have been to worried, there standing on the top of the stairs was Daxton. Now I don't know if he had anything to do with Connor being in this position or if he just happened to wrap the cord around the four-wheeler before it went down the stairs.(My feeling is he was very involved with it.) But as is I see Daxton holding one end of the cord keeping Connor from rolling down the stairs. He says to his brother I will save you. He's been playing this kind of stuff a lot these days.
I believe that I might not have to get a pet after all. I have three boys who think they are coyotes. They howl they try to bite me and they seem to guard their territory, well that's what they tell me. I don't know where that would actually be. I don't know they all seem to be running their own worlds these days...
Oh now I can't wait to see what they pull next. We rented the new Hulk movie that's out. The one they made a few years ago, I actually had Dougie believing me that if I got mad enough I would turn green. He doesn't believe me anymore, because after I told him that he thought that he could turn green himself......... This ought to be good......

Just to warn you I might sound a little cranky tonight. It might be due to the fact that I was up all night again. After so many nights of playing go find another place to sleep. And spending the nights with them crawling all over you while you try to sleep. (sad thing is that I actually have slept through them jumping on me.) well it just plain sucks. So hopefully you will look past this. If not come spend a night with the boys and then try telling me that it's easy.
On a better note Halloween was fun. Grandma and aunt Cassie came to see us and we had a good time. We went to see Dougie in his class and learned that Dougie can make excellent farting noises. Let's just say that he was one the last ones in the quiet circle to go get his food. It was good to see him getting along with the other kids and having a good time. Daxton and Connor also had a grand time with Grandma and Cassie. Connor couldn't have been happier with having Grandma around. He wouldn't let her out of his sight. Daxton got Cassie to buy him his helicopter toy that he's been bugging her about. Doug and I took them trick or treating and I can actually say that it was fun. We watched Dougie and Daxton run up to the doors ready for all the candy they could get. And Connor well once he figured it out, then he was running right up with his bag opened too. Later that night we had to cut them off from their bags. That didn't go well with Connor, there was a tantrum and hitting.
But now it's been back to the usual life for them here. Dougie had a wonderful pie expereince that had me almost rolling on floor. Dougie decided that he wanted a piece of pie the other night, so I got him a plate and he walked off. Five seconds later he dropped it on the floor. I got that cleaned up and got him another piece. He turned around and walked off five seconds later he dropped that piece too. Thinking that the third time is the charm, I got him a third piece this time I put it in a bowl. Well he walked off and tripped over his own feet. By that time I didn't even look I was laughing so hard that I didn't notice that it actually had stayed in the bowl. I looked at Doug and all he could say was "my pie." Which then had me haunched over with tears coming down.
This week has been Daxton vs Connor. They have been fighting with each other over the stupidest things. So far Daxton seems to be winning. I am starting to belive that we will have Connor potty trained before Daxton. Since Daxton keeps telling me that he's a baby. The other night we had Connor get his little fingers smashed in the sliding shower door. He cried while he made me kiss his fingers and that started Daxton in. All of a sudden Daxton was hurting too, and to top that off Doug had gone to bed and left me up with three very alert boys. Yes that sucked too. Connor finally fell asleep and Daxton made me wrap up his hands again. It seems to be going that way with those two one trying to do what the other one is and its all a competition to them. I want this stage to be over done with have the t-shirt and all that other crap.
They still are cute though. At least they give Doug as much trouble as they do me. I can only hope what every parent has ever hoped through time, and that is I hope they have a child just like them someday. Man thats a lot of hope...........
