You ever have one of those days where the three year old walks up and says, "I want that bat up there." Before you realize that what he's asking for you've already handed him the bat, and he's walking off muttering something about Daxton. I know, I need to get myself out of my zombified state and pay attention a little more.
Christmas was fun, even though I tried to make it a non transformer Christmas, I failed. The boys received these really cute transformer quilts from my mom.. They are awesome. In fact I want one myself mom.. They also got more transformers. I'm thinking that we're going to have quit the collection by the time they move on to something else (that's a big if.)They also got a whole other bunch of toys. The most excitement they had about Christmas was that Dougie had to wake me up in the middle of the night to tell me Santa had eaten the cookies.
New year's eve was fun the boys lasted until eleven and then they we're out. Mostly they we're excited about staying up and eating junk food.
Dougie has gone back to school, and is now getting his front teeth coming in. During the Christmas break, Dougie and Daxton got into a fight over the Nintendo, which resulted in Dougie yelling at Daxton for breathing which got Dougie's guy killed. Daxton's response was to pick up a light saber and hit Dougie in the head. Believe me you could here that all the way upstairs. Of course Dougie had blood all over, which resulted in me calling my neighbor to come watch the boys, so I could run Dougie up to the hospital. By the time she got here the bleeding had stopped and her and Doug didn't think he needed to be taken in. So Dougie's had quit the sore head.
Daxton has been of course living in his own world. Saying the funniest things and just basically keeping everyone entertained. He seems to know every transformer by name, and is always battling himself. He's gotten a little cranky to be around, due to the fact of having to stay inside more than usual. He's has also really gotten into trying to get on the computer at every chance he gets. There was one night he got on there and locked us out. He plays with the neighbor and when she pulls something with the boys, Daxton retaliates now. He came inside yesterday telling me to lock the door, before Alena showed up and told on him. It came down to her taking his icicle and him pushing her down in the snow and throwing snow all over her.
Connor is still trying to keep up with his brother's. Sometimes I think Dougie really likes having Connor around. I caught him trying to give Connor a horsey ride on his back, but it looked more like a little gorilla hanging off his back. Connor has also discovered the microwave. Yesterday he tried burning down the house, while I was in the other room. When I got the smoke all cleared out and told him not to touch that again he said, "I was just cooking." My response was to immediately think of my sister when she tries to cook. Hmm they are related.
I'm hoping that this year is a good year for everyone. So late Happy New year.
