Mom,mom,mom,mom,mom,mom,mom,mom,mom... Get the idea yet?? There seems to be a lot of that going around, no matter what direction I turn these days the boys are always needing their mother. Sometimes it's not even my own kid's. Don't get me wrong I love these guys, but all the fighting and yelling and screaming. Plus the fact that they have the need to hurt each other. I'm feeling it's a good thing the holidays are coming on.. Yes that means I might have to leave them with their Grandparents and a certain aunt for a couple of hours.. I think of it this way their one of those gift's that just keeps on giving...

The boys had a fun little Halloween, you just can't go wrong with a holiday about dressing up, and knocking on doors to receive candy. Although they kept thinking that if they said "trick or treat," to any of us we would just give them candy. They we're even nice enough to spread their wealth of candy by sharing a piece or two.

However these dear little sweet boys have been up to the usual, riding a crib mattress down the stairs when no one's looking. Seeing just exactly what they can and can't land on their feet by jumping off of whatever comes into their view, and of course trying to run each other over on their bikes. But, when it comes down to one of them getting into trouble, they've changed their views from "all for one, and one for all," too "it's every man for himself." They even love it when one gets put on time out then they can play their new favorite game of taunting the one on time out because they can't get him. What they always fail to learn is that no matter what, he will get off time out.

Dougie has gotten quit fascinated with football lately, I know one of my kid's huh.. I just tell him he's got his Grandma's blood in him. I have learned he also has a little of my blood in him, by telling his father the other day that he needed to stay home from school, because he hates math... yeah he's not even trying to act sick anymore. At least he's being honest..

Daxton, he's always going to be another story. There will always be those moments when you just look at him and know he's going to say something and your not sure that's going to be good for you at all. This week he's let me know that I'm a failure. Yeah nothing like having your four year old point out that your a failure. On the other hand this is Daxton we're talking about and he will quickly smile and say just teasing you mom. Daxton is having a good life lately candy, playing, showing me how a computer works. You know everything you can expect from a four year old. Oh and just seeing his face when he talks about Christmas coming up is something to treasure.

Connor has been having his moments lately, realizing that mom is just going to keep walking even if he throws this great big moment of dramatics throwing himself of the floor of the store. He also has a temper on him, throwing one over the fact that Daxton wasted a good orange and left it on the floor. Man he gave a better lecture to Dax then I ever could have. He also had a lot of fun with his dad at the park yesterday, not expecting that dad would go through the tunnels and slides and crawl over the play set with him. That just made his and Daxton's day.

So the boys are being little boys, and having a good time as they go.. As Connor's new favorite founded word, "forever," I hope that they stay this way forever..

Connor turns three..

Connor is now three and I have no baby.. Well at least that's what supposed to happen. Connor still thinks and says he's the baby. I can't believe how big he has gotten. Of course he was spoiled with presents, balloons, made me make him a Mater cake, and of course luckily finally agreed to put on clothes when Grandma showed up. He has learned the word "forever," and now we are all being threatened with one thing or the other but, with him saying "forever," I guess we're supposed to be scared or know he means business.

After over a year the boys are finally settling into living here. Dougie's got friends to play with, which means they are here all the time. But, he's happy and that is what counts. He does get mad every time we send the kids home for the night. You win some and lose some too. He's also gotten into playing older brother quit well, by telling his brother the other night about how people grow and grow then shrink and die. Which then resulted in Daxton looking at me and sobbing "Dad's going to die." Then we spent the rest of the night comforting Dax, on how it was going to be okay and a phone call to his grandma helped. While the whole time Dougie sat there laughing. Yes Dougie is truly playing older sibling quit well.

Daxton has received a nickname around here. Houdini, because he's always taking off. Which has resulted in Doug now saying he pulled a "Boodini". Because of all of this my neighbor came over and helped install locks on the top of the doors, so that I can coral Daxton in. There is always going to be surprises when Daxton is around. I know that I should have not been surprised the other day when we showed up at their grandma's only to have him strip down within the five minutes and pull out his old pirate costume, that I had no clue he's packed, or even when he could have.

All three of the boys are excited for Halloween, they are going to be Transformer's and I will have to take pictures. They are all growing and I do have to admit, their growing fast. Well today I will admit it, but ask me on another day and I might have a different answer.
